The Opportunity

Brightforge Talent is representing a well-regarded healthcare provider based in Melbourne, committed to delivering high-quality patient care. Their Information Technology department is seeking a motivated IT Operations Project Coordinator to assist with the coordination of essential IT operational tasks (BAU) and various technology projects.

This is a full-time, 12-month contract position offering the chance to contribute significantly within a vital healthcare setting. The role requires a proactive 'can-do' attitude and strong coordination and organizational skills to support the IT team effectively. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting regular progress updates to relevant management channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate necessary documentation for commencing IT works (e.g., work permits, access requests).

  • Prepare IT Change Request documentation and associated notifications according to process.

  • Coordinate and liaise effectively with internal teams and external vendors in support of both day-to-day IT operations (BAU) and specific IT projects.

  • Report on project progress and create clear project status reports for IT management and key stakeholders.

  • Schedule stakeholder meetings and facilitate clear communication between internal departments and external partners.

  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the IT department, such as documenting service impacts, durations, and expected workarounds for planned changes.

  • Support IT technical staff during project implementation by assisting with communications between various parties involved.

  • Provide information and regular support updates to stakeholders as required.

  • Ensure all parts of assigned tasks or projects are processed, organized, and progressing according to agreed timelines and key deliverable dates.

About You

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Essential:

    • Proven experience in a coordination or project support role, preferably within an IT or technical environment.

    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on attention to detail.

    • Well-developed skills in organizing and facilitating meetings (in-person and online).

    • Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across different teams and levels.

    • Demonstrates a positive, adaptable approach, especially when collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

    • Proven track record of managing competing priorities efficiently and effectively, sometimes under pressure.

    • Understanding of standard IT change management processes.

  • Desirable:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, IT, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

    • Working knowledge or experience within the healthcare sector.

    • Experience coordinating IT infrastructure or application-related tasks/projects.
